Upgraded GL Gem Raman PL535 2016/17 model
Our Raman spectrometer received a new mother-board and works with the new software version 3.00; fast averaging allows real-time observation of the Raman spectrum. Since 2016 all units come with a mechanical laser security lock.
All databases have been updated and are available for download in the GLGemRaman Support section; for new users we recommend to read the information for Version 3.xx.
GL Gem Spectrometer 2016/17 model
After five years and a user base of over 200 around the world we decided to replace the motherboard in the GL Gem Spectrometer with a modern modular design and faster microprocessor. This will allow us to add new features and components in the future such as Bluetooth, WiFi communication, database search, etc.
The 2016/2017 model of the GL Gem Spectrometer is now available for purchase at a slightly higher price (US$ 1,695).
Watch how a normalized absorption spectrum of green glass is obtained in 25 seconds (video, no sound).
For users of the older spectrometers we upgraded the software to version 2.8; an upgrade package is available for download in the GLGemSpec Support section. To access the user section you have to log-in; if you lost your password please request a new one and the system will send it to your e-mail address.
